Job done lets go home

That was the attitude during the Invincible era. Players who graced the pitch at Highbury were worthy of it. They were unselfish and had an Arsenal emblem emblazoned on their hearts. They set the standards and made what English football is today. They young Arsenal team has such a rich history to live up to. Players in the team have been questioned of their commitment for the team. The aura that grazed Highbury has not been seen at the Emirates. Tried and proven youngsters are coming up, more than a change of manager or anyone else they need a person within the team to look up to, to draw inspiration from. Adams, Viera, Henry were people like that. Fabregas is too young to carry a responsibility like that but nevertheless he is a perfect model captain. The individual i'm refering to need not be the captain, but he must be the reservoir of energy, dedication and show infectious amounts of patriotism towards the club. He must be the one to perform a miraculous feat when the team is down and out and he must be able to cope with all these responsibilities mentally. Arshavin is definitely in this mould. He is going to be invaluable to us next season. Arsenal should honour his commitment and support him with a solid central defender, a central midfielder who can run riot and hold the ball and a striker with instinctual clinical finishing abilities who isn't going to think twice about taking a shot at the goal from outside the penalty area. If noticed most of the shots on target from just outside the penalty area have a good chance of going in as the goal keeper has too much on his hands. Not only is the shot a little unexpected, the keeper is also sweating at the same time about the run ins made by the other players.
We need a few players who at the end of the day say their job is done and not say what could have been and how he can imporve after every dismal performance. We need players who others can put faith into. We need superman and batman and maybe a wolverine. If Hugh Jackman played football and was about 15 years younger Arsenal should sign him.

In their own words,
Wherever forever Arsenal..
